Seems Charge! is having another longer marathon today (Sunday), six hours, from 6:00 p.m. until midnight ET. There was one last Sunday, too, so maybe it’s a “thing” now, with the shorter blocks during the week? Hmm.
Since someone wanted to see it elsewhere, I have uploaded the deleted Dr. Skoda scene from “Tomorrow”, Season 2:
Thanks for uploading that scene - I really wish they had kept it in the episode - it’s always nice to see Skoda and that scene shed light on the perps psyches and why they killed. It should’ve been kept in the episode.
I agree. But since episodes are only around 45 minutes minus commercials, I guess some things have to be cut.
Speaking of which, as it was on the same DVD when I ripped the Skoda scene, here’s a deleted scene from “Shandeh”, the one where Ursula Sussman has her daughter-in-law murdered. Remember when G/E come across the prostitute and she tells them about Big Louie and told them that Big Louie told her to call him if she was in trouble, then the next scene shows him with G/E at 1PP? Well, there was an undercover stint cut in between. Here it is:
My favorite CI episode, the 2 part In The Wee Small Hours, is airing tonight on Charge!! I think it’s the very best of many great CI episodes.
It is. And I like that the conflict that arose was handled like adults.
Yeah I liked that there was no melodrama about the reveal that Eames had once requested a new partner, it was handled very well. And it was awesome to see Carver in court, they really underused him, the worst mistake CI made was underusing Carver and then ditching the legal side IMO. Plus we got an appearance from Arthur, nice crossover
The start of CI is on on Charge tonight - CI started really strong, there weren’t really any early on issues that needed to get straightened out, the way original L&O took about half a season to get everything figured out. All 4 characters seemed fully established and like themselves when the show started, and everything clicked instantly. And the show had its format down from the start.
One/Art/Smothered are the 3 episodes on tonight, all 3 are stellar.
I think Bobby was just a bit more people-oriented in the pilot, very engaging with the Kerstins. Not that Bobby didn’t care later on, but he seemed more introverted than in the pilot.
It seemed like Goren being more disconnected started in season 6 when the writers changed and turned Goren into a guy with a ton of baggage and someone hated by the higher ups. I’ve expressed my disdain for the show’s change in season 6 many times and I flat out hated how they took away Goren’s mojo and liveliness and instead have him carry a ton of weight on his shoulders. Goren was an awesome character and it was a dumb decision to burden him with melodrama, and it made no sense with the higher ups disliking him given how many cases he had solved.
Rest in peace to James Van Der Beek. While he will always be more known for Dawson’s Creek, he was great as ex-pornographer Rex Tamlyn in the CI finale, “To The Boy in The Blue-Knit Cap”. But man, 48 is just too young to go. May he rest in peace.
