Thank you. I’m sad and the house is quiet. I filled out some applications for rescue groups, if nothing comes up by the time I get back from my scheduled trip in May I’ll start going to the shelters.
Yeah losing a pet is really tough - I can’t bear the thought of losing PeeWee even though he’s aging and I know he won’t last forever. You sound like a great pet owner - I hope you find another great dog when you are ready for a new one - dogs are very special!
Thank you! My pets bring me a lot of joy. Dogs are very special, and so many need homes. I also need a large dog to keep my weight down, so I benefit from the relationship as well.
I’ve put on 8lbs since my bday in October, I’m not emotionally distressed by it, but I know Cosmo being sick changed my calorie burn and only a few of my winter pants fit comfortably with my thermals underneath.
Photos of the kitties who’ve been giving me love.
Those are beautiful kitty cats!
I just saw this today. I’m so very sorry for the loss of your sweet boy, Cosmo. He looked and sounded like an absolute sweetheart, and I know he loved you as much as you loved him, @scarlett45 .
May he greet all my dogs at Rainbow Bridge, and may they all be running happy and free, without pain. I know you’ll see him again. Take care. ![]()
I am still missing my Cosmo, but I was asked to foster this sweet girl who loves cats, but wasn’t getting along with the resident dog in her foster home.
I had always wanted to foster, it’s a worthwhile experience so far.
Oooh, a Bernese Mountain Dog! I love that breed. Hope he’s settling in, @scarlett45 ! And bless you for opening your heart and your home to him! ![]()
That’s a beautiful dog you are fostering
Thank you. She is very sweet and kind- especially with all she has been through.
My step count is already back up which is good for my health and weight management. Cosmo being sick took my TDEE down and I need to lose about 12lbs before my next Dr appt.
Thank you! She really is so pretty.
