I liked seeing her get a heavier role too, I like her. I really enjoy Toronto CI and I think it is the most well written of the 3 L&O shows on, although the writing for both the Mothership and SVU has improved this season.
The show must be continuing to perform well, because it has already been renewed for a fourth season despite Season 3 not even being done yet. Per this article, it says filming will be between April [this month!] and August 2026. If the article is correct, as a matter of fact, filming for Season 4 begins this Monday, April 13th!
Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent is renewed for a fourth season!
Awesome news!! I love Toronto CI - like I say I think it has the best writing of the 3 L&O shows on the air.
Yeah, TCI has that old-school â90s L&O vibe to me, whereas the Mothership revival and current SVU seem to be a lot glossier.
I just think TCI has the strongest cases, plus not much melodrama. I donât see much of a difference in the âgrittinessâ of the shows, although both the Mothership and SVU do have quite a few cases involving the upper class, but TCI just does the L&O formula the best with the focus being on cracking complex cases - both the Mothership and SVU have had too much personal stuff, although theyâve both dialed it back this season which is good, and the cases are just really well written on Toronto CI. I really like it. I hope the Mothership and SVU are renewed too and I hear they likely will be, theyâve both had stronger writing this season, I think Toronto CI has the best writing, and I like all 4 characters - whereas I canât stand Maroun on the Mothership, and Saint Olivia on SVU is just unbearable.
I have zero inside knowledge, but Iâm thinking Wolf and/or Hargitay want to try and reach Season 30 before pulling the plug. Especially since realism is no longer a factor. (If it were, Benson would be forced to retire very soon.)
Watched episode 4 today - another good one - I liked the whole mob backstory, very intriguing mystery, and I felt some sympathy for the killer at the end given that she had reason to be afraid of her husbandâs wrath if he found out about the affair.
Yeah, and you donât see a murder surrounding the issue of dementia (releasing criminal and other secrets!) too often.
I watched episode 5 - another good episode, it was a wild twist that the hitman was killed and the intended victim was actually alive. This had probably the most sympathetic killer in this showâs history, given that he acted in self defense by killing the hitman and he only kidnapped his kid in desperation. I hope the courts would be lenient on him. Had some good twists and turns to the case. I really like this show.
